Concept
京都三井ビルディングは、昭和５９年に建てられたビル。以前は旧・三井銀行京都支店の建物が建っており大正３年に建てられました。京都三井ビルディングとして新築する際、古い建物の一部分を組込む形で地下１階地上８階建てのビルとして建てられました。伝統的な意匠が、京都らしい風格を演出しています。この地下一階のエレベーターホールの天井にタニハタの組子を設置させていただきました。
The Kyoto Mitsui Building was built in 1984. The building was formerly the former Kyoto branch of the Mitsui Bank, built in 1914. When the building was reconstructed as the Kyoto Mitsui Building, a portion of the old building was incorporated to create an eight-story building with one basement floor. The traditional design gives the building a Kyoto-like elegance.
We installed TANIHATA’s Kumiko on the ceiling of the elevator hall on the first basement floor.
